COUNTER, TIMER AND CONTROLLER BTR4

BTR4 is a unique device, which offers in one housing the three most used nodes in automation:

  • controller, timer and counter.

The general characteristics of the device are:

  • easy configuration and adjustment process. The device offers two four-discharge indicators, which show the temperature and value of the timer or counter. The parameters are adjusted through menus and are saved in non-volatile memory.
  • 2-channel controller. The input signal of the controllers might be thermocouple (6 types), thermistor, voltage or current (4-20 mA). The regulation law is with two positions or PID (option).
  • timer with three ranges and 2 operating modes. The timer is a device, which by the expiration of a preliminary adjusted time interval switches its output or generates a pulse. For start of time reading is taken the digital timer input. The ranges of the timer are 3 - from 0.01 to 99.99 sec, from 1 to 9999 sec and from 1 to 9999 min.
  • 4-discharge counter. The 4-discharge counter has two inputs and one output. Depending on the operating mode the inputs could have different use (counting, resetting, direction etc.). The output of the counter switches when the adjusted value is reached. The value of the counter could be reset from the keyboard too.
  • universal pulse power supply. The pulse power supply is with wide range of the input voltage, which renders it protected against short-lived transient industrial interferences.
  • modes of the counter and timer by user query. The user can order random mode for the counter and/or the timer. Those additional characteristics do not change the cost of the device. The one limitation is the number of inputs and outputs – in general 3 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs for the timer and the counter.
  • low cost. The combination of all devices in one housing allows BTR4 to be at a low cost. BTR4 is suitable for automation of packaging machines, machines for food, wine and tobacco industries, chemical industry as well as for nodes of bigger machines and assembly lines.
