PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLER KOLOS
The controller KOLOS is an automation
device for small and middle objects. Its areas of application include:
- control and information systems;
- machines and systems for the
food, wine and tobacco industries;
- packaging machines;
- molding pressure guns and
automatic blow-molding machines;
- machines for the textile
industry.
It is built on a module principle,
whose advantages are:
- flexibility by the choice of a
module configuration for satisfying the specific requirements of each
customer and respectively acquiring of a lower end cost;
- quick and easy extension of the
possibilities by adding of new modules;
- quick substitution of a damaged
module without having to change the entire controller;
- possibility for doubling of
some modules for the purpose of higher reliability (for example supply).
Another typical characteristics of
the KOLOS are:
- automatic module recognition,
which decreases the assembly and adjustment time;
- quick check of the controller
condition through indicators on every module;
- auto diagnostic for every
program cycle;
- all of the module types are of
the same dimensions and can be placed on a random location on the back
panel without any limitations;
- the connectors for connecting
the conductors to the inputs and outputs are coded for each module type so
they can not be plugged in another module type;
- the availability of nonhelical
connectors, which accelerates the connection process and increases the
reliability of the connections;
- galvanically separated inputs
and outputs from the control part and power supply, which are necessary in
the presence of industrial interferences.
The controller consists of the

- input – output modules
- special modules
- communication modules
